I take product safety very seriously. This is what I am doing to make sure that my kits are safe for children.
Safety Testing
The toy safety standards are aimed at products that fit squarely in the toy category. Whilst my kits do not fit exactly within the toy safety standards, I ensure that the components I use are safe for children. Many of the products I use come with relevant safety certification, for example the paints I use are non-toxic, links to the relevant safety certification is included below. However, when these are not available I undertake the tests myself.
Safety Label
On every product I include a label with a description of the hazards present in the kit.
Small parts - Choking Hazard - the decoration kits contain small parts that pose a choking hazard to young children. In this case there are small jump rings.
Long Cord - Strangulation Hazard - again the decoration kits contain ribbon and / or cord, which pose a strangulation hazard to young children.
Age Recommendations - due to small parts and the ribbon / cord, the decoration kits are not suitable for children under the age of 5.
Individual Products
Paint - the paint I use in my kits is manufactured with child safety in mind. I am currently using Gare Acrylic Stains Party Paints in all my kits, I have included a link to the data sheet, should you need it.
Jump Rings - material is brass, they are nickel, lead and cadmium free.

If you have any queries about my products or kits, please contact me, I will be pleased to help.
